Weekly Update

A Note from Ryan

Thank you.
Thank you for being a community that lives out what we claim to believe as Christians.

We've been going through the attributes of the Acts church and how we are called to live them out today in our context.  As I put together the data for the town hall and saw that 76 of you are engaged outside of Sunday, I was so encouraged.  76 of you serve, attend a small group, or attended a class that we offered.

Last week we discussed how the Acts church went from growing to multiplying only when each member identified their unique gifting and stepped up to use that gifting in the service of others.

Thank you for being a church that already lives out that calling to serve.

This week we're going to continue our series in Acts as we reflect on Peter, Cornelius, and how God calls us to treat the outsider.

As always, my door is always open.  If you’d like to talk about anything, give me a call, shoot me an e-mail (Ryan.Hanson@TheLightKC.org), or stop by the church.

Looking forward to worshiping with you all Sunday at 10:00 AM,
Ryan Hanson

Re-Watch Sunday's Message

Message 6 in the sermon series "Acts: The Blueprint for the Church" by Ryan Hanson titled "Serving"

It's natural to focus on what we need. It's far too easy to get caught up in what we're doing that we forget to see the needs of those around us. Yet, God created us all with unique giftings and talents that He calls us to use to serve each other. Today, as we continue our series in Acts, we're going to look at a passage where the early church had to deal with their first internal conflict and how it was resolved by challenging the people to step up and serve in the areas they were best suited to serve. Join us as we see what God has to teach us about service through this story from the early church.
