As we start 2026, I think we need to recognize that we're all in different places.  Some of us had an amazing 2025 and want nothing more than for things to continue exactly as they have been going.  Some of us had a 2025 that wasn't good or bad but felt like a wasted year; a year of waiting for things to happen that never did and want 2026 to be a year where all the expectations that we've carried start to become reality.  And some of us had a terrible 2025, full of pain and disappointment, and 2026 feels like an opportunity for a fresh start for life to take a turn in a better direction.

Wherever you are at, if life feels amazing, stagnant, or a struggle to get through the day, remember that we serve an ELOHIM God; the all-powerful creator of everything.  We serve a God that is all knowing, that even in the darkest valley of your life already knows how He's going to get you through it.  We serve an all-powerful God that can do anything and will act powerfully when the time is right.  We serve an ever-present God who is always with you, will never leave you, and never stop loving you.

Over the upcoming weeks, as we continue our series "God is...", learning about the Character of God through studying the names God chooses to be known by, let's find peace in the fact that we serve a God that loves us, pursues us, wants the best for us, and won't give up on us.
