Ryan Hanson
Lead Pastor
Ryan is the lead pastor here at The Light KC and he still can’t believe he gets to do what he loves for a living. Ryan loves to teach, mobilize, lead teams and is passionate about raising up young leaders. He’s been bi-vocational for nearly 20 years, working with students, young adults, in discipleship and as a teaching pastor as well as working at Trane HVAC as an engineer, operations leader, and sales leader. Ryan has an undergrad degree in mechanical engineering from Calvin University, master's in business from Cornerstone University, and master's in divinity from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Ryan is married to Andrea and has three very fun and crazy kids: Eliana, Grace, and Wyatt.
Ryan has a diverse set hobbies, ranging from building furniture to photography. He has been active with World Vision participating in triathlons, marathons, and ultramarathons to raise money to end the water crisis and bring clean water to the 2.2 billion people who don't have access.

Amber Fletcher
Church Administrator
Amber is the Church Administrator here at The Light KC. She loves bringing people together by organizing special events, like the women's Garden Party, Trivia Night, or holiday meals. She taught for 14 years, and received a degree in Education from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and her Masters in Education with and Emphasis in ESOL at Mid America Nazarene University.
Amber and her husband, Alex, recently had their first child after years of struggling through infertility and loss. She is the president for local non-profit, KCinfertility, and is passionate about supporting others on their journey to parenthood. She also serves as the chair for the city of Prairie Village's VillageFest committee. When she’s not busy, you’ll find her traveling, gardening, or snuggling with her cats!

Lindsay Miles
Worship Leader
Lindsay currently serves as the worship leader at the Light KC and has a passion for worship ministry and discipleship, which is a big part of why she is also pursuing her BA in Biblical Studies and MDiv at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before The Light KC she led worship teams and youth worship ministries for churches in WA and MO and has a passion for youth discipleship and raising up the next generation to serve the Lord and His Kingdom through their giftings. She loves to inspire, refine, and connect with young musicians and help them to follow the Lord and become leaders.
Lindsay lives with her family in Kansas City, MO and is the oldest of eight siblings. She has over eight years experience in Administration, five years experience in Learning Loss Development Education for Youth and over eight years experience in Worship Ministry as a vocalist, pianist and mentor. Lindsay’s upbringing in a homeschooled, large family has given her a passion for discipleship, education, and mentorship and her desire is to teach others how to pursue the Lord through their giftings and pass that knowledge on to the next generation.
Lindsay enjoys playing her piano at home and writing songs, listening to classical crossover and 70’s Christian music, gardening, writing, and reading from her large collection of antique books. She hopes to continue serving the Lord and The Light KC through her love for music and worship ministry, and inspire others to do the same.

Kaitlyn Arnold
Children's Director
Kaitlyn serves as the Children’s Director at The Light KC and has a heart for helping children know they are loved by God and have a place to belong in His church. She believes children are not just the future of the church, but an important part of the church today. Her desire is to create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where children can be known, build relationships, ask questions, and grow in their faith. She is passionate about helping children be discipled in age-appropriate ways while also equipping and encouraging volunteers to care for them well and partnering with families as they help their children grow in faith.
Kaitlyn has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Park University. She has spent many years working with children, families, and caregivers and enjoys bringing creativity, organization, and plenty of fun into children’s ministry.
Outside of church, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family, baking, traveling, and all things Disney. She is engaged to Brandon and is looking forward to getting married in July 2027.

Manasye (Iman) Chapman
Student's Director
Manasye Chapman serves as the Student Director at The Light KC, leading our youth ministry for teenage students. Manasye joined our team in the summer of 2026. The oldest of three siblings, he was born in Indonesia and lived there for twelve years before moving to the States in 2017. He later attended Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies. He is passionate about seeing young people come to know Christ and take His Lordship over their lives seriously.
Manasye enjoys hanging out with people, whether it be on the court, over the table, or on a hike. He is always down to make new friends, so please say hello if you see him on a Sunday!

The Light KC is governed by an elected Board of Elders. The Elders hold the Lead Pastor accountable to a focused pursuit of the church vision and mission and ensure that the church core values are honored each step of the way. They provide wise counsel and support in decision making and are committed to prayer for the staff and congregation.
